My brother Dave snapped this at Longwood Gardens recently. It struck me as deeply weird and fascinating. Click it for full size. Any experts out there (perhaps you, Dave) want to comment on what type of flower it is? Some type of orchid?

I also uploaded this to Flickr and called it AmazingDuckFlower.

    Yes, an orchid from Longwood Gardens. What variety I don’t know but definitely one of the more humorous ones.
